CEIPES ETS has embarked on an exciting journey to empower the Italian youth from a disadvantaged and geographically isolated neighborhood near Palermo.
CEIPES‘ youth workers, thanks to the knowledge gained during a training session held in Dublin, conducted a crucial assessment aimed to gauge the level of frustration, political participation, civic engagement, and volunteering among the involved youth.
On October 30th, CEIPES ETS officially launched the local workshop pathway with the first workshop on storytelling. This initiative represents the first step in a series of 7 workshops designed to empower and engage youth through storytelling, filmmaking, film editing, graphic design, and campaigning. The goal is to empower these young individuals to create their own film and develop a related visual identity to make their message heard.
Participants will have the chance to showcase their creativity and talents at a local film festival contest. Furthermore, the winner of the local film festival contest will receive the opportunity to attend the Youth REC international film festival in Thessaloniki. This international event serves as a platform to measure themselves with their peers from across Europe. It’s a chance to gain exposure, recognition, and network with like-minded individuals, all in the spirit of creativity and civic engagement.
Within the framework of Erasmus+ values, the consortium strongly believes in the objectives and the final result of the Youth REC project. By investing in the holistic development of youth, partners are committed to promoting the principles of inclusivity, creativity, and civic engagement.
